Bobbik was our first beagle. He
was purchased in a pet shop in
1994. There were plenty of other
adorable puppies making their
best puppy-dog eyes in our
direction, but there was no
question about Bobbik – we
immediately fell in love.
Despite the fact that his
conformation somehow differs
from that of a good show dog,
Bobbik is still without a doubt a
true beagle. He’s the one who
taught us what owning a beagle
is all about. In his younger days,
Bobbik was a master of escape.
He knew so many ways to
escape that even David
Copperfield looked like a child
compared to our dog.
Fortunately for us, after eight
years Bobbik finally understood
that there is nothing sweeter
than home and stopped running
away.
Bobbik quickly became the axis
around which our family
revolved. When we later decided
to purchase a show dog, we had
no doubts that we would get
another beagle.
